Like many divers Kate was herself a former gymnast turned diver who went on to dive for Ohio University from 1991 - 1995. Kate graduated with a degree in Graphic Design but ultimately switched her focus to personal training, yoga & wellness instruction, and coaching. She runs Shine Yoga Center in Hyde Park and leads their Teacher Training program in addition to coaching with OhK. She is a functional movement specialist who values “whole-being well-being.” Having been a diver herself she understands the thrill of diving as well as the places that divers are vulnerable in the sport. She designs practices to help them achieve their goals and stay as healthy as possible throughout the season. Our yoga practices are diver specific and help our athletes develop: intrinsic core strength and balance, flexibility, mental clarity & focus, body awareness & coordination, fine detail work specific to diving, and a deeper inner personal connection to support them as they grow into the best version of themselves at the pool and beyond.
